Here are some of our favorite picture books for February:

  • Hedgehugs- This book is a winner with the kids. It shares a goofy story of two friends that cannot hug and the different ways they try to solve the problem.

  • Guess How Much I Love You- Classic for a reason. Endearing and a great way to share with kids just how much you love them.

  • I Love You Through and Through- A great way to share that you love your child no matter what. This book has held up in nearly pristine condition for 5.5 years and gets carried around a ton.

  • All the Love in the World- Such a sweet way to convey the unconditional love a parent has for their child.

  • I Love You, Too- We received this book as a baby shower gift and all of my children have absolutely loved it. A tender story of little ones finding a perfect gift for their mamas.

  • I Like Myself- The illustrations. The rhymes. The message of self-love and acceptance. There isn’t a single thing not to love about this book.

  • Love- This was also a baby shower gift and has been a favorite of mine and all of the kids. I had to hide the cover in the photo because part of it got eaten and then ripped off! Filled with wonderful descriptions of what love can be and the beauty of the parent-child relationship.

  • I Spy Little Hearts- A fun and interactive book with a Valentine theme. Great for bigger siblings, but even the youngest listener will appreciate the pictures and time with you.

  • You Are My I Love You- Another classic. The kids all get a kick out of the bathtub page and finding the tiny dolls on each page.

  • Mommy, Do You Love Me?- Babies love looking at pictures of other babies. Even my 3 and 5 year old still like to look at the pictures in this book, especially last year as they were gearing up to add a new sibling into the mix. An adorable way to start sharing the message that you will always be there for your little one.

  • Love Monster- Follow monster as he searches for love and eventually finds a connection in an unexpected place. The kids love this book and it is perfect for Valentine’s Day or any time of year.

  • Baby Penguins Love Their Mama! This book had to make this list. Not only do the kids adore this one, but this was also the very first thing I bought for a baby when I was pregnant for Brinley. I was unbelievably nauseous and popping ginger candies like they were going out of style, but somehow managed to pop into a bookstore. I found this in a clearance bin and flipped through a few pages. I could envision reading this to our future baby and bought it- core memory unlocked.
